Letters patent confirming and assigning armorial bearings to the town of Huntingdon

GREETING: BY Claire Boudreau, Chief Herald of Canada;

WHEREAS a request that armorial bearings be granted has been received from the ORDRE NATIONAL DU QUÉBEC, established on the first day of July 1984 by An Act Respecting the Ordre national du Québec of the province of Québec;

AND WHEREAS

a Warrant has been issued by the Deputy Herald Chancellor authorizing this grant;

NOW KNOW YOU that pursuant to the authority vested in Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaelle Jean, C.C., C.M.M., C.O.M., C.D., Governor General of Canada, to exercise the armorial prerogative of Her Majesty The Queen of Canada, and to the terms of my Commission of Office, I, the Chief Herald of Canada, do by these Presents grant and assign to the ORDRE NATIONAL DU QUEBEC the following Flag: Azure on a pale Or between two pallets Argent a fleur-de-lis Azure;

Armoiries-300pxdrapeau-300pxAS THE SAME is depicted in the painting herewith provided and entered in Volume V, page 452 of the Public Register of Arms, Flags and Badges of Canada to be borne and used for ever hereafter by the ORDRE NATIONAL DU QUEBEC, all according to the Law of Arms of Canada;

 under my hand and the seal of the Canadian Heraldic Authority at Rideau Hall in the City of Ottawa this fifteenth day of June in the year Two thousand and nine.
