Remuneration of council members

Council members are paid in compliance to the Wages for elected municipal representatives Act, that regulates the remuneration of elected Article 2 of the Act provides that the council of a municipality may, by regulation, fix the remuneration of its mayor and its other members. To this end, on June 6, 2022, City Council adopted by-law 878-2016 on the treatment and reimbursement of expenses of members of council.
