In considering that trees are an invaluable wealth and a fundamental characteristic of urban and Victorian architecture of the City of Huntingdon, City Council has adopted by-law 727-2006 for the protection of trees on its territory.

The City sees to the protection and maintenance of trees located on municipal property.

Trees are considered property of the City when the trunk is completely on municipal land. This includes trees on the road allowance in front of houses, parks and natural areas.

To inform the City of a diseased or damaged tree, or a tree that appears dangerous to the security of citizens within public spaces (parks, road allowance or other), please contact the municipal inspector by phone at 450 264 -5389 ext. 225, or by email at:
