Trees

In considering that trees are an invaluable wealth and a fundamental characteristic of urban and Victorian architecture of the City of Huntingdon, City Council has adopted by-law 727-2006 for the protection of trees on its territory.

By-law 727-2006

The City sees to the protection and maintenance of trees located on municipal property.

The trees that are located in the municipal parks and natural areas, are the property of the town. This excludes trees on the municipal right of way in front of houses.

To inform the City of a diseased or damaged tree, or a tree that appears dangerous to the security of citizens within public spaces, please contact the municipal inspector by phone at 450 264 -5389 ext. 225, or by email at: urbanisme@villehuntingdon.com
